Tannins
can stimulate the digestion and protect against pathogenic infections therefore
promoting the development of a well balanced bacteria population. Tannins
play an important role in protecting the micro villi on the intestines.
Harmful pathogens like Straphyloccoi and E coli skrink and and the bacteria
is prevented from attaching itself to the intestinal wall. Unripened carob
pods can contain high levels of tannins which can be considered an anit
nutritional factor ( ANF). However tannin levels in ripened pods are present
at lower levels and have been proven to be beneficial. To summarise Caromic
is a pure natural ingredient that contains approximately 4.5% tannins and
is used for its anti-diarrhoea therapeutic action and antibacterial effects.

Resistance
|

|
| |
A
harmful coli bacterium is attaching itself with its fimbriae
on specific spots of the mucous membrane |
|
| |
Animals
offering resistance do not have specific attaching spots on
the mucous membrane. As the coli bacterium can not attach, it
will be naturally excreted |

The
fimbriae are blocked by the animals own or additionally fed
anit-bodies in a way that attachment is prevented |

| PIGLETS:
It is strongly recommended to use up to 5% CAROMIC in the feed, given
1 week before and up to 1-2 weeks after weaning, particularly in formulations
not containing anti-biotics to prevent scouring. The addition of CAROMIC
can be reduced from the dosage of wheypowder, normally used in piglet
formulations.
PETFOOD
FOR DOGS:
The use of 3-5% CAROMIC will prevent and improve soft faeces and
will reduce the social problem of the odour. The use of Caromic
dogfood will improve the condition and consequently the gloss of
the fur. CAROMIC can also be used to produce chocolate flavoured
treats as a cheaper alternative to cocoa powder.
CATTLE:
CAROMIC can be used in mineral concentrates to improve palatability.
CAROMIC can be used with good results in anti-scouring mixtures.

|
| POULTRY
FEED: A dosage
rate of 3-5% of CAROMIC in broiler and layer feed will reduce the moisture
content of the faeces, which is often a result of gastrointestinal virus
infections.
SHEEP
& GOATS:
CAROMIC is a good source of free available vitamins. It can be used in
milk replacers and starter diets. Diarrhoea resulting from fresh grass
can be prevented
RODENTS
& RABBITS:
All animals like the taste and smell of CAROMIC. The use of CAROMIC will
improve the condition and gloss of fur.
HORSES:
Kibbled Locust Beans can be used in many horse feeds. Locust Beans are
usually added to coarse mixes because of the high sugars, palatability,
natural aroma and can often help in the nutrition of selective eaters.

 |
| CAROMIC
can be delivered in 25kg paper bags with poly - inner bag, shrink wrapped
on one way pallets. KIBBLED LOCUST BEANS are available in Bulk or Bags. |
